Impact of COVID-19 Pandemic on Paediatric Trainees in Belgium

Background and objectives: The COVID-19 pandemic has put strain on the activities well-being of health care workers. We aimed to measure direct indirect impact a personal professional level for paediatric trainees in Flanders, Belgium.Study design: Junior representatives Flemish Society Paediatrics (Jong VVK) conducted longitudinal study among their fellow trainees. daily tasks, education emotional first (March-April 2020) second wave (October-November were studied.Results: One hundred nineteen surveys completed wave, representing data 51% (119/233) total number Flanders. Eighty wave. Educational program changes occurred 25% (30/119) more than half (61%; 72/119) described as an impediment educational progress. perception impaired persisted 30% responders (24/80) during out three (30%; 35/119) felt job was exhausting usual 38% (45/119) perceived stress at work. These numbers comparable both time points. Increases paralleled with increased irritability life poorer sleep quality. Conclusions: had important Medical training centres should be aware that there is trainee.
